GulfCoast Vein and Laser Center offers its patients customized treatment plans by board certified surgeons, Dr. Wynton L. Hall Jr. and Dr. John K. Butterick, who have been practicing in the Tampa Bay area for more than 20 years.

A variety of procedures are available to effectively treat your unhealthy veins. These treatments cause little discomfort and have almost no recovery time. Dr. Hall and Dr. Butterick are trained to provide laser treatments and injections, as well as more complex surgical options, when medically necessary.

Drs. Butterick and Hall are the recipients of numerous awards from their medical peers. Combining extensive surgical expertise with the latest in technology and techniques, the physicians at GulfCoast Vein and Laser Center are able to provide you with a customized treatment plan combined with the quality of care you deserve.

During your initial consultation, costs will be determined based on the treatment plan prescribed. Cosmetic procedure costs are based on the type of treatment and number of sessions required. Medically necessary procedures are priced by the insurance companies and may be covered by your health insurance. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will assist you with this information following your consultation.

Physicians

John K. Butterick, M.D.
Dr. Butterick is a board certified surgeon with more than 20 years experience in the Tampa Bay area. He previously operated a private practice with Drs. Hall and Weitzel providing thousands of patients with needed surgical care. After Dr. Weitzel’s retirement, Dr. Butterick (along with Dr. Hall) chose to obtain further education and specialize in the treatment of veins.

He is recognized in his field, having served the medical community in a variety of positions such as:

  • Chief of Surgery, Brandon Regional Medical Center
  • Chief of Staff, Brandon Regional Medical Center
  • Executive Committee, Brandon Regional Medical Center

During his career he has held academic positions such as Assistant Professor and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of South Florida.

He is certified by the Board of Surgery. He received his M.D. at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He conducted an internship as well as his residency in surgery at the University of South Florida.

Wynton L. Hall, Jr., M.D.
Dr. Hall is a board certified surgeon with more than 20 years experience in the Tampa Bay area. He previously operated a private practice with Drs. Butterick and Weitzel providing thousands of patients with needed surgical care. After Dr. Weitzel’s retirement, Dr. Hall (along with Dr. Butterick) chose to obtain further education and specialize in the treatment of veins.

He is recognized in his field, having served the medical community in a variety of positions such as:

  • At large member of the Executive Committee at Brandon Regional Medical Center
  • Chairman of the Florida Physicians Advisory Council
  • Cancer Liaison Physician for Humana Hospital Brandon
  • Brandon Regional Hospital Board of Trustees
  • Charter member of the Tampa Bay Surgical Society
  • Medical Director of the Brandon Regional Wound Care Center
  • Member of the Medical Director's Leadership Council, Curative Health Services
  • Member of the Speakers' Bureau, Curative Health Services
  • Regional Medical Director, Curative Health Services

During his career, Dr. Hall also held academic positions with the University of South Florida, including Assistant Professor of Surgery and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery.

In 1991 he received the Florida Young Surgeon Award from the Florida Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Hall is certified by two medical organizations - He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He received his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia, School of Medicine in Augusta Georgia and conducted his residency in surgery at the University of South Florida where he served as Chief Resident in Surgery for one year.
